Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 May 2026 · Red Dog Advisory is committed to protecting your privacy.
Our commitment to you, in plain English
We will never sell your personal information. We will never share it with advertisers. We collect only what we need to help you, and we protect it carefully. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it at any time.
1. Who We Are
Red Dog Advisory, owned and operated by The Sawlwin Family Trust, ABN 76 509 849 040 ("Red Dog Advisory", "we", "us", "our"), is an Australian business advisory and marketing consultancy based in Adelaide, South Australia. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). We take our obligations under Australian privacy law seriously, and we are committed to handling your personal information with transparency and respect.
If you have any concern at all about how your information is handled, please contact us first, we would rather resolve it directly with you than have you worry. Contact: info@reddogadvisory.com

- Technical information about your use of our website (see Section 6)
- Payment and billing information (processed securely by our payment provider, we do not store card details)
We do not collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act) unless you volunteer it and it is directly relevant to the services you have requested.
3. How We Collect Your Information
We collect personal information directly from you when you:
- Submit an enquiry or contact form on our website
- Book a strategy call or consultation
- Engage Red Dog Advisory as a client

- Interact with our website (via cookies and analytics, see Section 6)
We will always tell you why we are collecting your information at the time of collection, and we will not collect it by unlawful or unfair means.
4. Why We Use Your Information
We use your personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected, or for related purposes you would reasonably expect. These include:
- Responding to your enquiries and providing the services you have requested
- Managing our client relationship and delivering agreed engagements

- Improving our website and service delivery
- Complying with legal obligations
We will never use your information for purposes that are incompatible with why you gave it to us, without first seeking your consent.
5. Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, ever.
We may share your information with trusted third party service providers who assist us in operating our business, but only to the extent necessary and only under strict confidentiality obligations. These include:
- Cloud storage and software platforms (e.g. CRM, project management tools) used to manage client engagements
- Email and communication platforms used to respond to your enquiries
- Payment processors to handle billing securely
- Analytics providers to understand how our website is used (in anonymised form where possible)
We may disclose your information where required or permitted by law (for example, to comply with a court order or regulatory requirement). We will notify you of any such disclosure where we are legally permitted to do so.
Some of our service providers may be located outside Australia. Where we transfer personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a level of protection consistent with Australian privacy law.
6. Use of AI Systems
We use artificial intelligence tools across our website and service delivery, including AI powered chat and advisory features, AI generated content, and automated workflows. Where you interact with these tools, information you provide (such as your enquiry details or messages) may be processed by AI systems, including third party AI providers, in order to generate a response or carry out the requested task.
By using our website or these AI powered features, you acknowledge and agree to the effects this may have on your privacy, including that your information may be processed by automated systems rather than a person, and that AI generated responses are provided as a guide only. We take reasonable steps to ensure any third party AI providers we use handle information securely, but we recommend not submitting sensitive or highly confidential information through AI chat features.
7. Cookies and Website Analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the site and to improve your experience. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. They do not contain personal information on their own, but when combined with other data they may identify you.
We use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to collect aggregated, anonymised data about website traffic and visitor behaviour. This helps us improve our content and user experience. We do not use this data to personally identify individual visitors.
You can disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Disabling cookies may limit some functionality of our website but will not prevent you from accessing most content.
8. How We Protect Your Information
We take the security of your personal information seriously. We implement reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) across our website and platforms
- Access controls limiting who within our team can access personal information
- Use of reputable, security audited third party platforms for data storage and processing
- Regular review of our data security practices
Our website and backend systems are built on Base44, a secure application platform that provides encrypted data storage, managed user authentication, and secure hosting infrastructure. This platform helps safeguard the personal information submitted through our website and supports us in meeting our data security obligations under the Privacy Act, though no online platform can guarantee absolute security.
In the unlikely event of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
9. How Long We Retain Your Information
We retain personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. For active clients, we retain information for the duration of the engagement and for a reasonable period afterwards to manage any follow-up, legal, or accounting obligations (typically seven years in line with Australian tax and record-keeping laws). Contact enquiries that do not result in an engagement are retained for up to two years and then deleted or anonymised.
You may request deletion of your information at any time (see Section 9), subject to our legal obligations to retain certain records.
10. Your Rights — Access, Correction, and Deletion
You have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of any inaccurate or outdated personal information
- Request deletion of your personal information (subject to our legal retention obligations)
- Opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time
- Lodge a complaint if you believe your privacy rights have been breached
To exercise any of these rights, simply email us at info@reddogadvisory.com. We will respond within 30 days. We will not charge a fee for access requests unless the request is clearly excessive or repetitive. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request.
11. Marketing Communications
From time to time, we may send you information about our services, insights, or relevant updates. We will only do this where you have provided your consent or where we have an existing relationship with you that makes it appropriate. Every marketing communication we send includes an easy unsubscribe option. You can also opt out at any time by emailing info@reddogadvisory.com.
12. Complaints
If you believe we have not handled your personal information in accordance with our obligations under the Privacy Act, we encourage you to contact us directly first so we can resolve your concern promptly.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. For significant changes that affect how we use your information, we will notify active clients directly.
